Participants: 32 couples
Championship and game rules
The organizing committee, considering the number of participants, the time schedule and the court availability decided that the championship should be ruled according to the following conditions:
- The padel rules of the Spanish Royal Federation of Padel will apply and will be found attached to the convocation mail.
- The 32 enrolled couples will be distributed in 8 groups of 4 couples.
- Qualify for the play-offs:
- There will be a final and a play-off for the third place.
- Couples are requested to be present 15 minutes before the starting match of their group so that the organizing committee offers details on the court and the match.
- Couples are requested to be aside the court 20 minutes before the foreseen timing of the match. It should be recall that matches are closed by points and the schedule is only for guidance. The purpose is to have continuous on-going matches.
- The organizing committee will assume the distribution of tennis balls, annotation and the classifying table.
The match rules will change throughout the championship phases:
- Groups phase, :
All couples play against the rest of the same group.
1 point per won game, 0 points for lost game. In case of ties, the couple with the highest scores will classify first.
Matches will be closed in one set of 9 games with a 2 games difference. If there is a tie of 9 games, a tiebreak of 11 points with 2 points difference will be plaid.
There will be a 5 minutes warm-up in the court.
Service will be determined by lot.
- Play-offs: In round eighth finals, quarter finals and semi-finals the matches will be closed in one set of 9 games like the groups.
The final and the 3rd and 4th position will be played to the best of 3 sets. If there is a tie of 6 games, a tiebreak of 7 points with 2 points difference will be played.
- Play-offs B: For 3rd and 4th teams in group phase, there is a B-play-off in round eighth finals, quarter finals and semi-finals the matches will be closed in one set of 9 games like the groups.
The final-B and the 3rd?B and 4th-B position will be played to the best of 3 sets. If there is a tie of 6 games, a tiebreak of 7 points with 2 points difference will be played.
